Autêntica Pharma Industrial Facility

In the Pindelo dos Milagres business park, in São Pedro do Sul, the new industrial facility for Autêntica Pharma occupies two adjoining plots, treated as a single operation. The building sits across both plots, respecting the minimum 5-metre setbacks from the perimeter set by the subdivision, and organises the outdoor space around the access requirements for heavy vehicles, loading and unloading, and parking.

The topography of the site, with a cross fall of about 3.2 metres, is resolved by a plinth that secures a uniform threshold level and a continuous industrial floor without changes in level. Above this plane, the set of halls is articulated with a taller volume of increased clear height, whose impact on the reading of the whole is softened by the higher ground level of the neighbouring plots.

Outside, three parking bays provide fourteen spaces for cars, two of them for reduced mobility, to which are added two docks for articulated lorries within the plot. The solution also anticipates a second phase on the adjoining plots, establishing from the outset the mobility and logistics relations between complementary units and the fit within the expanding industrial estate.

The project brings together architecture, infrastructure and building services, with the massing responding to the morphological, geotechnical and topographic conditions of the site.
